That's because he lies like you lie. Without actually lying so he can turn around and say 'oh, I didn't lie, that's all in your head' and gaslight the fuck out of people. By pretending that he doesn't know something when he actually does.
Which is, in fact, still a lie. You are both just psychopaths in that regard.
It probably has something to do with... both of us being lawyers? The definition of lying. Verses the spirit of lying. They're handled differently. Especially in contracts.
